Hello December!!!

Time is passing so fast and I didn't even realize we just slipped into December. After a weird and slow November finally my favourite month is here! Things are starting to speed up a bit and definitely in a good manner. That was the lesson I learnt in November how to slow down my mind and stop the continuous anxiety madness in what I was living in for such a long time. I am not looking for and rushing for something more now as I always did before. I know what I need I already have and the only thing I have to do is just to listen to my intuitions in order to make my decisions, affirmations and let life fall into me! I am still learning how to fully go with the flow of life and to really enjoy the gaps in it and to trust that everything will happen on the way how and when it has to be and how and when it is the best for me. I feel at the moment I am complete.

December has a very special atmosphere for me, well from one hand I am having my birthday in this month and we are close to Christmas and the end of the year. From the other hand I always feel great in this period of the year and I have a feeling of giving, caring and loving about others and myself as well:) Following that feeling today morning I surprised my friends with warm cinnamon muffins and they said it has the taste of Christmas.

So hello December my loveliest month! I am looking forward to every moment that I can spend with you!:)

The results of the 21 day challenge

Time is passing so fast and I didn't even realized that I finished my 21 day challenge! Although I finished it and let's see how I completed it:

1. To wake up at the same time every day, to eat at the same time. - This point I feel I need a bit more time to complete it fully, because I am having my holidays now so I find it no sense to wake up every day at the same time:)

2. Start the day with lemon water and eat fruits till 12:00, after 18:00 time of the last meal of the day after just detox or herbal tea - the first part I still keep as an order and it really feels I am more energetic and my belly is started to get better as well. From the previous fact is directly coming that sometimes I was having my dinner around 9 or 10 in the night...oh well

3. Avoid consumption of sugar, flour, milk and alcohol - I successfully kept away myself from all this things. Instead of sugar I use agave syrup, instead of flour I use spelled flour, instead of milk I drink almond milk. Alcohol I don't drink at all!!! (during the 21 day it happened once)

4. Drink at least 2 l of water per day, no drinking 20 minutes before and after eating - I keep to not mix eating and drinking. The most challenging is to drink 2l of water a day.

5. Running at least 3-4 times per a week, I left myself to choose on which days - I already implemented this part to my life years ago, so moving, running, biking, working out is still a part of my every day life.

6. Morning Yoga - I preferred to do it in the afternoons, evenings combine with bodyart
Sundays dynamic meditation - I find it very challenging and not necessary to do it every week so I do it in every 2 weeks.

7. In addition I successfully eliminated coffee and cigarettes from my daily life! I cannot say that from time to time, occasionally I am not consuming them, but the most important for me now that I am not doing them every day!

I want to complete the list with some other things which made it easier for me:
  • I eat more slowly without music, tv, computer and I am focusing completely on the food, as a result it feels more filling.
  • I started to eat more fruits and raw vegetables.
  • I made one exception per a week when I make a cake so that means I eat some kinds of sweet:) (thanks to Marie for the idea)
  • I bought at least 5 type of detox tea to not get bored of it:)
  • I was avoiding the company of people who smoke, drink or party a lot!
  • I sleep 8-9 hours per a day and I tried to go to bed before 12.
  • If I was not able to keep "the rules" I didn't give up and I didn't feel guilty the next day I was keep on doing it
All and all this 21 day was a good frame for experimenting what feels good to do and to shape it according to my personal needs. During the whole time I was observing myself and it was very interesting to watch which are my weakest moments and how am I reacting to get over it. In a meantime I gained more self awareness. So now the time is coming to act upon them, on the little devil.
As a result I definitely feel better, more than ever! I am filled with energy, I have better digestion, I have clearer skin and mind, I have a stronger core :) And the most important is that I got really inspired by the change what I feel so I want to extend the process for 3 months and let's see what will happen!
And don't forget that good things come slow!

The bloody beets and a bloody delicious brownies

One star of the season is beetroot. I am really going crazy about this bloody root:) I ate a lot from it during the last weeks and now I decided to make something really special with it. Beetroot Brownies!
But at first let's see why is it soo good to be eaten by human beings.

In Romany medicine, beet juice was used as a blood- builder for patients who were pale and run-down,  and in Russia and Eastern Europe it’s used both to build up resistance and to treat convalescents after  a serious illness. In the traditional medicine of central Europe, beets have  a long history of use in the treatment of cancer: they seem to contain anti- carcinogens bound to the red coloring matter, as well as possessing a striking ability to increase cellular uptake of oxygen. Many of these actions are enhanced when beets are eaten raw or drunk as juice. The popular French starter crudités— which combines grated  raw beet, raw carrot, and perhaps paper-thin slices of cucumber, all dressed with olive oil and lemon juice and garnished with chopped parsley—is a more powerful tonic for general health  than a whole bottle of vitamin pills.

And now let's see the recipe for the bloody brownies:)

Ingredients

2-3 cooked, peeled beets, rasped fine
100 gr dark chocolate, preferably up to 70% of cacao
80 gr brown sugar
80 gr butter
80 gr flour, can be white or whole grain as well
2 eggs
1 coffee spoon of baking powder
1 spoon of cocoa powder
50 gr of finely chopped walnuts or mixed nuts

Heat up the oven for 180 degrees. Melt the dark chocolate above water together with the butter. Stir the eggs together with the sugar till it's getting whiteish. Mix the baking powder with the flour and cacao powder. Mix everything together in the fallowing order: add the finely rasped beets to the mix of eggs and sugar, after add the melted chocolate-butter mix and put the flour mix into it and at the end put the finely chopped walnuts. Don't stir it too long because the brownies will become hard. Put it into the oven for 20-25 minutes. The cake is ready when is still a bit raw in the middle. Serve it hot with the vanilla ice cream!

Here is the bloody delicious dessert

Big big transformation....

After 2 days of laying in bed without any motivation to get up and do something it really made me wonder... Where and why is this state of being coming for me like a dark, black cloud and taking everything, my thoughts, my soul, my motivation, my joy, my being? Where did my motivation and joy disappeared? Why I feel just simply miserable and hopeless??? Despite the fact that I am living my daily life very healthy, I eat healthy, I do sport every day, I am learning Dutch and read a lot, I am taking good care of myself than why the dark is coming again??? I know very well that is one pattern of mine I am just so fed up with it! At this time instead of being fed up with it I started to really observe it....and what I realized it just I am so OK, more than OK, I reached the top of my physical and mental conditions and now I want to really spread it around but where? I have a lot of energy and I feel that with all the things what I am doing I am just circulating back the energy to me that is why I feel I am not moving at all, instead of peace I am in a state of continuous anxiety:( Although I was looking for a place where I can volunteer, where I can work, help but I don't find it..it seems that this door is not opening for me.
Last weekend I met my very close Hungarian friends here in Amsterdam by accident, and it was so nice to spend some time with them after a long while and they said that they are missing me and they made me think that we can do some projects again together...and I remember 3 days ago I had a chitchat with my Mom and she said that in Hungary some people are really got interested in what I am doing and they want to do projects with me...I think that was the time when I got fucked. At that night I cannot sleep and I had a very very strong insight that I have to return HOME! My inner voice was really shouting with me. It really touched something in me.
I am really grateful for this time what I could spend here in the Netherlands with myself. I completely transformed. I feel I am ready to go back to my roots, to my real home where I truly belong.
I feel very grounded in what I want to create. I truly believe that returning back home I will find my possibilities and the supporting environment what I need to create my plans.
So just a few months to go, but at first I am so much looking forward to do cooking, my projects again. Until the start -20 November - I just want to enjoy my being without any worries and anxiety!!! Most probably I go home in February....when I finish everything.
This is the conclusion and the dark cloud started to vaporise BUT to arrive to this turning point I asked for help so I started to watch really amazing and inspiring talks on TEDx. It s worth spreading it!

Sweet Sunday Afternoon

This rainy, windy, cold weather didn't give me other option for the afternoon, so I decided to make my favourite cake today. This is the perfect time for carrot cake!:) I tried to make the healthiest version of it now, so here I present the recipe for you in order to bake your homey, warm and delightful sweet.

Suzy's carrot cake

dry ingredients
180 gr of whole grain spelled flour
2 teaspoon of bio baking powder
3 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
pinch of salt for balance

liquid ingredients
3 eggs
3/4 cup of brown sugar (cup=200ml)
100 ml of coconut oil

5 middle sized rasped carrots

topping:
200 gr mascarpone cheese with agave syrup
almond flakes

Put the oven for 180 degrees. First mixed well the dry ingredients. Secondly mix the liquid ingredients as well. Mix together dry and liquid adding the liquid slowly to it. At the end you add the rasped carrots. Be careful with mixing, you have to be fast because the baking powder start to react very fast. If you are hesitating with mixing and you are not on time you risk the cake to stay down and to break on top while baking. The cake needs approximately 30-40 minutes to be ready it really depends on your oven. To check the cake if it s ready or not you can use a thin knife, just put it into the cake and if the dough doesn't stay on it it is perfectly ready!
The cake needs to cool down a bit to put the topping on it. Slush the cream on the cake gently and after scatter the almond flakes on top!
Serve it with a cup of coffee, hot chocolate or vanilla chai as I do!

Enjooooy!!!

Chia seeds

While I was shopping in the bio market I just bumped into chia seeds. It can be a great replacement for multi vitamins and a great supplement for more healthy nutrition. Winter is coming and the body needs more care to prepare. I immediately bought them and I cannot wait to implement it to my daily routine and enjoy the benefit of them. Why? Here is the answer...

Here are ten benefits to using chia seeds

1. Nutritious. Chia seed provides calcium (5 x more than cows milk)and protein to your tissues. The seeds are also rich in boron, which helps the body assimilate and use calcium. The nutrients also support proper brain functioning.

2. Great for Hydration. This seed can soak up twelve times its weight in water. When inside your body, the seeds help you stay hydrated longer, and retain electrolytes in your bodily fluids.

3. Easily digestible. The shells are easily broken down, even when swallowed whole. This is an improvement over flax seed, which have to be ground up to be digested properly. If you eat flax seed whole, it will just pass straight through you.

4. Concentrated goodness. If you could only take one cup of food for a few days, I'd choose chia ! The food value per volume is simply unbelievable. You don't need much. The Aztecs said they could survive on two table spoonfuls per day!

5. Mild tasting. Unlike some seeds, the flavour is very mild some say no taste at all. The mild neutral taste makes it so easy to put in sauces, smoothies, breads, puddings, and whatever you want. They won't really change the taste, but will add to your nutrition intake in a big way!

6. Energy enhancing. The health pioneer Paul Bragg did an experiment an endurance hike with friends. They divided up into a chia-eating group and another group, who ate whatever they wanted. The group eating only chia seeds finished the hike four hours, twenty seven minutes before the others, most of whom didn't even finish at all.

7. Versatile. These super seeds can be used to replace less-healthy fat in just about any kind of recipe. You can use them uncooked in salad dressings, spreads, fruit shakes, ice cream, and just about anything you want. You can also add them to cookies, cakes, muffins, Bread and other baked goods.

8. Weight loss with chia seeds . Yes, the seeds will help you lose weight, for two reasons. The first reason is that they are so filling that you will eat less of other foods ( they stop you snacking between meals too). The second reason is that they actually bulk up and cleanse your body of old "junk" in your intestines.

9. Endurance enhancing. Chia seeds are known as the "Indian Running Food". Also, the ancient Aztec warriors used chia seed during their conquests. If you are a runner chia seed helps with the stamina and endurance on the runs, some of which are several hours long!

10. Regenerating. After eating, the nutrients travel to the cells very quickly due to the ease in digestion and assimilation. Use them when you want to build or regenerate healthy body tissue and repair injured muscles.

Go more, go raw!

I feel like diving more into healthy nutrition since I really feel the benefits of my 21 day challenge:) I am going to give some practical tips how to make your food more healthy, green, raw, tasty and good looking and why your body will enjoy it!

  • steam your vegetables - not in a lot of water, instead use steaming filter, put it above a water in a stainless steel pot and cover it for a few minutes. As a result you will get carefully prepared vegetables with a very delicious, pure taste
  • braising - instead of oil use water or the combination of water-oil (cold pressed olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil)
  • avoid the use of stomach irritant spices - pepper, chilli, ginger, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, curry in big quantities, of course a little pinch is definitely allowed to spice up the taste
  • avoid the vinegar based sauces and vegetables - balsamic vinegar, white wine vinegar, mustard, ketchup, pre-prepared salad sauces (it is better to use vinegar for cleaning, against a water fog is the most efficient you can imagine what does it in your stomach grrrrrr....), instead use lemon
  • fully exclude food with high fat and protein content from animal origin, heated oils and smoked products
  • use cold pressed oils as flexseed oil, hempseed oil, borage oil, safflower oil, avocado oil, sesame oil, grape seed oil etc. Flaxseed oil or borage oil or safflower oil are for continuous use!
  • any kinds of vegetables are more than welcome to consume! - mostly fresh or steamed, can be frozen, but they contains less vitamins and they don't have the chi:) - avoid everything from the can
  • for every meal the composition of the food has to look like 50% raw components and 50% cooked components
  • NEVER mix vegetables with fruits! (they are going to ferment in the stomach because of the fructose in the fruits)
  • avoid eating desserts (including fruits) after the main meal because they are going to ferment in the stomach and it can very often cause a puffy belly...
  • get rid of sugar (honey as well)- for sweetening use steevia, marple syrup, rice or agave syrup, xilit (birch sugar) - I tried all of them I recommend agave for me this is the winner
  •  in the morning consume carbohydrate-rich food - fruit salad with nuts, all kinds of porridges, oat flake tarts etc.
  • side dish can be wild rice, brown rice, black rice, couscous, bulgur, quinoa, amaranth, millet, buckwheat, whole grain pasta, brown/black rice noodles (no white rice, white pasta and potatoes)
  • wholemeal bread, pastries can be eaten - best is from wheat flour
  • for dinner more salads, beans, lentils, chickpeas recommended
  • diary consumption is not recommended -  instead cereal milk (rice, coconut, almond and hazelnut my favourite ones), vegetable based cheese and cream
  • consumption of processed, preserved food is prohibited!!!
  • don't snack between meals!!! - instead drink more water or herbal/detox tea or eat an apple or nuts
  •  eat germs every day!!!

Hmm hmmm it seems quite shocking for the first time BUT I am sure that I can make delicious, various and fulfilling food! It will require a pinch of creativity and I am up for it! Let's give it a try!

This was my lunch today and I can tell you it was really delicious, light and filling!
Home made hummus with a pinch of chilli, steamed broccolis, bulgur with sun dried tomatoes, carotts, raddish and germs
Eet Smakkelijk!

Connect with the energy flow, do BodyART!

The last weeks I was running a lot and my body is not so grateful for it. Now I feel everywhere muscle and bone ache. I can say it is not the most pleasant one, but I feel I am alive and the pain always reminds me to do something different, something more smooth. The weather is also not really nice today, windy and rainy with a bit of sunshine, very crazy I say so... Since I am friend with the weather here it can not stop me anyhow:) So I decided to do something more light for my body, mind and soul and create my own sunshine between the four walls:) So this is the perfect time for BodyART!

BodyART was created by a Swiss gymnast and dancer Robert Steinbacher in collaboration with Alexa Lee. The method is based on principles of yin and yang and combines elements of yoga, pilates, dance and tai chi. The top priority in BodyART is to treat a human being as a single unit.It helps to strengthen and stabilize all aspects of human movements. It perfectly combines functional training and classical breathing techniques to create a synergy of physical training with mental relaxation.

I warmly recommend you to do it at home for yourself if you are tired of heavy exercises. This practice is a great help for the body and for you to connect with your energy flow! Go for it!

Freedom = Confusion

After a very weird weekend (energy and emotional wise) I arrived to the point that my freedom gives me a lot of confusion on what to do how to fulfil it? Since I am doing quite successfully my 21 day challenge I feel that energy is raising in me and all around me. I have a feeling very often that I just don't know how to ground it or float it away. In the past when I had this feeling I used self-destructive ways to let the energy out. I felt the same on Saturday, in spite of a lot of running, biking, relaxing, meditating, cooking, learning Dutch, meeting people, watching series, listening to music, reading I felt that I will explode soon if something is not happening right now. Should I smoke, should I go party and get wasted....the answer was NO, so I started to look after some sweets. The only thing I found it was hot chocolate powder with tortilla:)))) I can tell you it was not really a pleasant dessert. I started to eat it and I was really hoping it will help somehow to put myself on the ground....after one and a half piece it really hit me in the head that what the fuck I am doing??? What is this self-destruction again??? So after the only thing I did it was watching TV till I fall asleep which I never do normally...
It was really a moment of enlightenment. I realized that for me this self-destructive activities are happening in order to pass time/to fulfil my unoccupied free time. I got the flash light that would it be better if I replace them with something self-constructive??? I feel that I am kind of over relaxed and eager to do things again after the very busy summer period.
So today is a new day and I decided to look after some places where I can do voluntary work and I can give to other people. I am ready to give again! And what I give it all comes back to me:)
Are you ready to give today?

Run Baby run!!!

After a whole day of thinking, hesitating and waiting I really felt the need to go out and run. I made my body so heavy with a lot of confusing thoughts. My mother gave me an assignment for this week which seem easy but I still not completed it. The assignment is that I have to visit at least 10 places in my neighbourhood which I like and I have to present myself in Dutch and ask for some voluntary work to do. The goal is to speak in Dutch rather than get a job. I prepared and learnt my introduction but I am still hesitating and waiting a lot to go. I am keep on asking myself why is it so difficult??? Why I am not able just to do it??? There is fear behind? But I have nothing to fear and nothing to loose! So I don't really understand what is happening...Why I am not able to just jump into it ? Am I taking this so serious instead of taking it playful? I did this many times so what is stopping me??? These thoughts made me run and run and run till I clear my mind completely. I put all this questions to resolve during the whole run and every time I felt I am getting tired I gathered my focus and I was keep on running and running. I just realized that the essence of running for me is focus and if there is focus here comes the empty space of the mind where is completely nothing just my body, my breath and the road to run. After 56 minutes of running I felt I let it out what had to go. The run was very liberating and I prepared myself for tomorrow to be able to put my thoughts aside and just go and play around with my introduction as in a theatre play:) Come my fears I will embrace you all!
Please keep your fingers crossed for me!

Treasure Hunting

Finally today the sun was keen on shining for a little while so it was time to get out from the apartment and join again to the city's buzzing flow of course by bike. If I go out for a visit it is always necessary to see what is happening on the flea market. I feel very lucky here because I found 2 very amazing ones, one is at the Waterlooplein and the other is the Noordenmarkt. I have a very special connection with second hand items, I am a kind of addicted. My addiction is started when I was very little and I started to discover my grandmother's garderobe. She had such beautiful, shiny treasures: clothes, shoes, accessories, jewellery, bags, scarfs, hats etc. I got so fascinated and I started to wear her clothes and when I got a little bit bigger I was accompanying her for the treasure hunt into the second hand shops. Since then I am still mesmerized by the colours, materials, forms and the feeling that what I can find today:) This thought always give me excitement because I have to dive in a mountain of mostly very shitty clothes, things and somewhere among them some unique pieces are waiting for me!

The big advantage of second hand shops is that you don't have to be a millionaire to be stylish. You can design your own unique style from coins.

I invited my friend Elena to come with me. First we went to the Waterlooplein - I successfully collected new items for my garderobe: a winterjacket (Vila), black trousers (Zara), running termo-t-shirt only for 15 Euros!!!! After we were heading to Noordenmarkt but it was closed unfortunately (or fortunately now I don't know).

After a lot of walking we felt like sit down. We found a very lovely cafe on the way and I felt so tempted to drink a cup of coffee. Now I have to confess that I had a very tasty cup of coffee....and I didn't smoke and the wish was not in my head at all (Success!!!!). As I don't believe in the fascist approach of changing things, so if the situation requires I allow myself to drink it with joy from time to time and the most important is that I exiled it from my daily routine. To be honest I still love coffee:)
After a great conversation about life and relationships and a lot of walking and biking finally I arrived home. The only thing I need now is a warm shower and a foot massage!

Have a wonderful evening!

All in one breakfast

Since I moved to my new place in Amsterdam I am still finding new things in the kitchen. Today morning's surprise was a mixer! It made my morning. I immediately got inspired and happy about the fact that I can play around with the fruits. It just arrived in the right moment because I really started to get bored of my fruit salad. So what I did is very simple. I smashed 1 banana, 2 kiwi with a little bit of almond milk and on top I put oat flakes and mixed nuts. This breakfast contains everything what you need to start the day: vitamins, minerals, proteins, fibres, carbs (supporting ones:) and the top of all that it is very tasty as well!

 Et Voila! :)

Good Morning Succesful People!

So what is it about happy people that makes them the way they are

???

Below are just some of the ways they separate themselves from the rest of the crowd.

1. They don’t hold grudges.

2. They think outside of the box.

3. They go by a routine and make exercise a part of it. It takes practice to develop healthy habits and stick with them. Once you do, your internal foundation will be strong.

4. They have a supportive tribe, thereby not wasting time with negative or toxic people.

5. They don’t care about what other people think. Does a tiger lose sleep over the opinion of sheep?

6. They don’t people please.

7. They see difficult and challenging situations as opportunities for personal growth.

8. They consider handling rejection a skill and are resilient.

9. They make time for themselves. Whether it’s getting eight hours of sleep every night, finding 15 minutes to read the newspaper in peace or an hour to go to the gym, they make it a priority — just like everything else. When you take care of yourself, you have a bigger impact on others.

10. They are spiritual. This doesn't necessarily mean religious. It could mean setting aside time for reflection through yoga or meditation.

11. They practice deep breathing.

12. They know there isn’t such a thing as “having it all,” and they’re happy about that. Wouldn’t the world be a boring place for them otherwise?

13. Fear doesn't hold them back. They're ready to take risks.

14. They know how to say “NO,” and don’t hold back. These people have learned to set boundaries. Plenty of them.

15. They learned a great deal from other people whom they admire. Either they had a great mentor, or they took note of how those they aspired to be like handled various situations.

16. They follow their inner guidance. Not only do they have a vision, but they follow it.

17. They give without expecting anything in return.

18. They aren't pretentious or conceited.

19. Passion is what drives them. They authentically believe in what they're doing.

20. They don't complain.

21. They live by their core values in both their professional and personal lives.

22. They're happy to swim against the tide.

23. They finish what they start.

24. They don't compare themselves to other people.

25. They want you to succeed, too.

The Dynamic

Three weeks ago I just discovered something incredibly powerful. Dynamic meditation. Since I am doing it on every Sunday morning.
When I heard about it I didn't really know how to imagine that. In my imagination meditation was something what you do sitting or lying still, focusing on the breathing and it can be guided by a sound or voice. With my expectations I went to experience the dynamic one. What I got was completely different.

Very confronting, very demanding, very liberating.

It is a guided meditation during 1 hour. It has 2 parts. First one part lasts for 30 minutes dived into 3x10 minutes. Second is divided into 2x15 minutes.

First ten minutes is breathing
Second ten minutes is emotional release
Third ten minutes is awakening sexual energy, grounding
After
15 minutes of active silence (freeze)- observing the energy in the body
15 minutes of dance to celebrate your life

The whole meditation is guided by music except the silent 15 minutes. Closed eye focus recommend.
The experience is priceless. You can meet yourself in a very confronting way and it depends on you how deep do you want to go. There is a space where you can release all your anger, fears, depression, negativity and your laughter, joy, happiness, fulfilment as well. And what stays after. It is an empty space. The great inner peace.

After delicious herbal tea is served and chitchat all together.

If you want to experience it come here:  http://www.osho-mevlana-commune.nl/

One day depression and the 21 day challenge

Yesterday I was depressed. Yes, sometimes it is happening to me as well and I call it the one-day depression because it is lasting really for one day. What I am doing in this state of mind oh well, usually I am lying in my bed watching series and eating mostly sweets. Yesterday I did the same but without feeling guilty about it! My energy level was down and most of the times I feel guilty of doing nothing, but at this time I experienced something completely different. I allowed myself to feel my depression and let it be where it is. I didn't want to ran away from it and I didn't want to change it and I didn't comment or blame what was happening. I was a silent observer. I wanted to experience the dark cloud which came inside me.
The day passed with this mood and around 23:30 I started to awaken. I was wondering maybe because I left my companions (coffee and cigarettes) I arrived to this state of mind. I didn't feel the need for smoking and drinking coffee but the thing is that I was doing it during a long time and my body just reacted like this. I also realized that what my companions left behind it is an empty space where I can create new things and it depends only on my choices with what will I put it in!!!
I got so excited and I decided to take a 21 days challenge for myself because my body needs support now more than ever. The plan is the following:

  1. To wake up at the same time every day, to eat at the same time.
  2. Start the day with lemon water and eat fruits till 12:00, after 18:00 time of the last meal of the day after just detox or herbal tea
  3. Avoid consumption of sugar, flour, milk and alcohol
  4. Drink at least 2 l of water per day, no drinking 20 minutes before and after eating
  5. Running at least 3-4 times per a week, I left myself to choose on which days
  6. Morning Yoga
  7. Sundays dynamic meditation

I am going to follow this plan during 21 days. The wise says if you do something new what you want to create for 21 days it will become a habit and you can make it easier to  be a part of your life and your daily routine.

I am more than ready for the change! Are you?

Tips, compliments, experiences, good advices, best practices are always welcomed!

Time to say goodbye...

Dear Coffee and Cigarettes,

The time has come to say goodbye to both of you. You were such a great companions during a long time. I loved and enjoyed you sooo much! From now on I want to continue my life without you, because I want to breathe deeply and run faster, I want to smell more, taste more, I want to enjoy more the food what I am making, I want to have a brighter skin and a fresher breath. I want to get rid of my cellulite and my puffy belly. I want to be fresh in the mornings and enjoy my being fully.

I embrace you with love and let go with ease and joy and I wish you a great time!

With Love
Suzy

Shopping with Eckhart:)

I made it as a habit that any time I go shopping in the supermarket I listen to Eckhart Tolle. Eckhart and his voice become one of my best friends approximately 2 years ago when I got his audiobook from a friend. The power of NOW fundamentally changed my perspective about me, myself, and I, and the co-existence with the universe . I am used to wash out my brain with his soft voice from time to time and every time he helps me to return back to my very essence to my very being to no-self.

But who is Eckhart?

Eckhart is a spiritual teacher and author who was born in Germany and educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. At the age of 29, a profound inner transformation radically changed the course of his life. The next few years were devoted to understanding, integrating and deepening that transformation, which marked the beginning of an intense inward journey. Later, he began to work in London with individuals and small groups as a counselor and spiritual teacher. Since 1995 he has lived in Vancouver, Canada. Eckhart Tolle is the author of the #1 New York Timesbestseller The Power of Now (translated into 33 languages) and the highly acclaimed follow-up A New Earth, which are widely regarded as two of the most influential spiritual books of our time.

Eckhart’s profound yet simple teachings throughout the world help to find inner peace and greater fulfillment in our lives. At the core of the teachings lies the transformation of consciousness, a spiritual awakening that he sees as the next step in human evolution. An essential aspect of this awakening consists in transcending our ego-based state of consciousness. This is a prerequisite not only for personal happiness but also for the ending of violence on our planet.

Start your day differently!

The best start of the day to feel more energetic is to drink lemon water! Yes!
Why is it the best? Because......
  • warm water and lemon is a natural energizer. It hydrates and oxygenates the body, leaving it feeling refreshed and revitalized for quite some time. As opposed to coffee, whose effects are short lived.
  • immune system booster (a middle-sized lemon contains around 40-50 mg of Vitamin C)
  • it has an alkalizing and detoxing effect on the body - Intrestingly, while lemon juice itself is acidic, it's actually one of the most alkaline foods available.
  • rich in potassium, folate, Vitamin B6 and thiamin, lemons also contain bankable amounts of magnesium, calcium, phosphorous and vitamins A and E.
  • aids in weight loss - helps to fight hunger cravings:)
  • cleansing the liver and the kidneys
  • purges toxins from your blood
  • clear the skin - as other antioxidants it helps to reduce wrinkles and blemishes, vital for healthy glowing skin
  • hydrates your lymp system
  • freshens the breath - in order to protect your theeth always rinse your mouth ith water after a glass of lemon water, because it is acidic
  • energizes you and enhances your mood - it can also help to reduce stress and anxiety

How to do it?

Take half of the lemon and squeeze it into a lukewarm (not scalding hot) water and just simply drink it for one shot as fast as possible.
Don't forget to rinse your mouth with pure water afterwards to protect your teeth!!!

Have a wonderful and energetic day!

Cheers!

Pumpkin time!

Autumn is officially here! How do I know this? Because pumpkin started to appear on the market! I am soooo happy about it, this is one of my favourite vegetables.  Today's evening is the perfect time for pumpkin. Since the weather is getting cold and rainy the body needs some immune boost to be prepared for the changing of the seasons.
Pumpkin is one of the best solution how we can nourish ourselves in this challenging weather.
This magnificent, colourful vegetable was known by the Indians and they used it to cure snakebites. grrrrr and to vanish freckles :) Our orange beauty contains a lot of essential vitamins as A, B,C and minerals like copper, zinc, iron, calcium etc. It is suitable for treating inflammatory diseases, and in particular shows high efficiency for colds , cold, flu and to relieve allergic coughing, sneezing , reduce asthma attacks. It stimulates the liver and helping the digestion as well.
Consumption makes our skin more beautiful , especially in the treatment of acne is a great help. Ideal food for diets because it contains less calories.

So Pumpkin up!

The easiest and most probably the fastest way to make it, is to bake it in the oven. 180-220 degrees, 30 minutes, a pinch of salt and pepper and that's it.
